Not sure how much I like this layout. I wanted something different, so kinda just used one of the first images I came to that didn't need any editing. But the lyrics are from an awesome song- I'm quite obsessed with Shinedown lately.

On a different, more familiar note, I cannot wait to get home. I'm just so very bored and BLAH here at work. It's been such a long week, and I actually, astonishingly, get to sleep in tomorrow (Nana stuff on Saturday this week, which messes with my weekend, but it's alright.)

I was going to note the things I want to get done this weekend, but I think most of the time I manage to jinx myself out of doing it all. So let's not do that again. Oh! I plan to get a head start on the next issue of the magazine :-D

I hope this works as a link but basically, Cleo is saying the exact stuff I wanted to:

I will admit to being lazy... and hoping someone more eloquent and
thoughtful than I will compose thoughts similiar enough to mine that I
can just link and say "that, that's how I felt when I was watching the
credits roll."

Only vaguely spoilery, honest )

01:06 pm - More blurry photos from work!
The werewolf in front of the Hogwarts Express is a bit blurry, but I just got it today with a set of POA figures. A coworker said her boys were cleaning and felt they'd outgrown them. Of course she thinks of me!
I dunno if I'd posted where my paper Coraline fit into things, so enjoy!

11:37 pm - Totally fluff, not at all thoughtful post.
No, really.

So there's this site, flickchart.com and it's awesome.

And wrong and bad and MEAN.

You pick between two movies which one you... liked more? Thought was better? It's a little of both, honestly. "Our pairing system shows you two movies, and you decide which of the two you prefer - whether it be the story, the cinematography, the director, a favorite line by your favorite actor, or any other traits you may find that qualify it as the better film. If you haven't seen one, or both, of the films, you use the designated buttons to let us know you haven't seen them."

Straightforward. Until you sign up and it asks you Jurassic Park vs Shaun of the Dead?
*blink* That's just mean. [Shaun. I remember how excited I was to have downloaded it before it was released here, and how many many many times I've watched it since. JP was awesome and I've seen it a zillion times, but Shaun is more where I am now...]
Back to the Future 3 vs Attack of the Clones?
*headtilt* Okay, thought provoking, but not impossible. [Back to the Future # wins. Sorry. Yes, Yoda's fight scene was the best ever, and the crowd at our theater for the (first) midnight showing was fantastic, but yeah, it's Back to the Future. And I like the third one!]
Exorcist vs Batman Begins?
*pout* [I actually went with Exorcist. Unfortunately, Batman Begins just creeps me out with all the bats. Exorcist is intentionally *scary*, not skin crawly, so it wins, despite an absence of Liam Neeson, Gary Oldman & Michael Caine.]

I feel like I could fill a whole post with these things, 'cause some of 'em are tough!

I mean, okay, so right now it's asking me Deep Impact or Moulin Rouge. And yeah, no brainer for me, but I do enjoy Deep Impact. C'mon, it's Elijah Wood! Some of 'em are WAY easier calls than others, tho. Any of the Pirates vs Royal Tenenbaums? *shudders* Yeah. I've mercifully forgotten most of what I disliked so strongly about RT from the first time I watched it while working at the video store. But I do remember that I disliked it. (And besides, it's the first Pirates. That's gonna stand up to a lot, if you ask me)(They say it only wins 46% of the time tho, interesting.)

But yeah, totally, great site. Caught it on twitter from [info]cleolinda : RT @cleolinda RT @scottEweinberg: Movie freaks: @Cinematical has your invitation to Flickchart. http://tr.im/q0Sv

Oooh Toy Story vs Jurassic Park. See, vs Shaun was tough. Toy Story tho... Jurassic Park actually wins for me for having come earlier in my life, whereas Shaun won for coming later.

I'm so flighty, aren't I?

ETA: I could totally post these all day, wow. Evil Dead vs Raiders of the Lost Ark? [Raiders, childhood won]
Flickchart by year: 1987. Gives me Lost Boys vs Near Dark. [Nice. Gotta go with Lost Boys, altho Near Dark was an awesome movie.]

09:25 am - I love internet quizzes.
I should probably be spending my time actually writing a real entry, but
I'm between phone calls at work, so this is what I'm managing.

YOU ARE LIKE NATHAN

You're the brains--smart, logical, and not afraid to show it. Pulling
off a heist doesn't have to be brain surgery, but you treat planning one
as such just to make sure every detail is set. Even though you don't
help out at the scene itself, your crew respects you, nonetheless.
Sniffing out snags and keeping the state pen out of the picture earns
you that kind of appreciation. Yes, life's good on the sidelines,
especially if things go south quickly. After all, ideas can't get you
arrested, right?

**********************
Okay, yeah, I guess brainy but logic and I are not good friends. It's
just no fun. But anyway. This next quiz? I can feel the moral side of
not taking money to spoil people's movies, but that's a peeve of mine.
But stopping global warming vs never getting to watch my 3 fave shows
ever again? *whine*
**********************

MORAL

As it turns out, you're a pretty good person. You can consider yourself
to be ethical, even if you slip up every now and then. The most
important thing is you know when you're being dishonorable and will
adjust your behavior as soon as you realize it. Friends, family, even
strangers can trust you with their life and their well-being.

**********************
Oh, thank goodness. Just because I'm darkside doesn't mean I'm a bad
person. I'm subversive that way.

Starbuck and I are relaxing outside on our porch. She seems bitter that there's no grass to eat in this outdoors, so I brought food and water with us (I have an apple). It was such a dismal morning, so the afternoon was a gorgeous surprise. Here it's 7 and still lovely!

I haven't updated in awhile, I know, but very few people read this anyway. I don't talk to one of my work friends much anymore. I think she finally hit her breaking point on her last visit. Can't say that I blame her.

I'm back on the outside looking into this questionable relationship of ours, and I can't figure out how to change things. Or if I ought to? I feel like I have very little to offer and while the thought makes me alternately depressed and angry, I've been trying to be even-keel-bordering-on-cheerful-girl as much as possible, because I know anything less(more?) is just going to push her further away.

I thought today was going to be hanging out watching movies day, and in fact I've read more than I did yesterday while she was at work. *shrug* I should be working on the magazine myself, I'm procrastinating way too much on what's going to be a relatively annoying and time consuming article, but I can't bring myself to care that much. That's probably bad. I really desperately need that other paycheck these days.

Sorry for the ranting, back to watching young Dr Cameron in a cheesy Urban Legends sequel. Woah!

I love that nearly all the reaction posts I've read are full of capslock and keysmashes and \o/ for characters and just so much love.

I really enjoyed that :-D

I'm forced to use this icon... for lack of better GO icons. Must get on that.

Obedience shouldn't equal love, but even if it does to you, then why doesn't it count when I do 90% of what you ask of me? Why is it only the 10% that I don't do that matters?

How can you really say I matter so much more than them one moment and that you don't care at all the next?

Why have you always said you're "single", but tell me you love me? You can't have it both ways.

How can you really say I matter so much more than them one moment and that you don't care at all the next?

I think I wish I was strong enough to let go. That I didn't have to be stuck still loving you when it makes me feel like shit.
